World of Warcraft consumed a huge portion of my life, Star Wars Galaxies, Star Wars the Old Republic, Guild Wars 2… you name it, I’ve probably played it. Gaming in education is a very hot topic. It seems like everywhere you turn you see another company coming out with game strategies for your classroom or some guide on “making your classroom cool for your students.” While I’m a very vocal advocate for gaming in general, and in particular in education, I think these “strategies in a box” can not only be misleading but generally come across as ingenue to students.
Over the past year I’ve started sketching out different rationales and strategies I, and colleagues have tried out, and at this point I feel like I’d like to share some of our work with the world.
